.
He heard the door, but no sounds from anyone, so he kept Sammy and Lily in the room they were in, and turned the TV up, to distract the two of them before he climbed off the bed and told them he will be back, he needed to go make a call. He was more concerned on who came into his house, he knew it wasn’t an angel, Chance never took away the circle, and any demon would have gotten stuck at the door.
Once he was out the bedroom, he went to the kitchen, saw Chance’s arm and let out a bit of a sigh, and put away the knife. He looked at it, seeing the blood covering it, a bit confused, and hoping it wasn’t Chance’s. He knew that if it was, Chance would have said something, at least he was hoping Chance would, but Chance could be bull headed, probably what attracted him to Chance even more. He picked up the arm and went to the sink and grabbed the rag, cleaning up the blood, and then set it down to dry. He heard Chance in the shower, he would have gone to see him, but he wanted Chance to want to see him, and him not be intruding on him.
Knowing that Chance was home, it made him more at ease, his family was back together, yes, his family. Dean was gone, Chance, Sammy and Lily were all he had left, and he wanted to make sure they kept together. Now this house was his, was the one his family belonged in, he knew it would hurt Chance to stay away from the Alpha, but this was the place he built his house. The place he has raised Sammy in, and each night Chance was away, he dreamt of making the family with Chance bigger, just by one, a little boy. To connect the two families, it was a weird thought, and he knew it, but he wanted to be connected to Chance, some how, and marriage wasn’t an option….yet.
He went off to the bedroom, moving quietly so Chance didn’t know he was here, he wanted Chance to be surprised. He picked out his favorite shirt of his own, not Chance’s, didn’t care if Chance was bigger than him, this shirt was bigger than him. He picked out his favorite pj’s and then picked out a pair of boxers for Chance. Put it all at the foot of the bed, along with a note.
Chance, Glad you are home babe, Sammy’s dad, he’s dead, he was in a car accident, so I guess I would like to know if you will be like a dad to him. Also the box attached this note. It’s a necklace I thought you might like it. I hope you do. I didn’t make it to specific, mostly so you don’t have to feel like you had to choose because the necklace or that it made you choose. I love you Chance. More than anything, and I really hope that I can show you that. I am still working on it. Love Cas.
In the box was a necklace with the name Castiel. That was all, a gold chain, that said Castiel. He made sure to make it that way so he could say it was the Alpha or him, he was trying to show Chance that he was honoring the fact that Chance loved the man still. He went back to the room and climbed back into the bed with the kids. Wrapping his arms around them both, holding them close, smiling. His family is all home, safe and sound.
His time in the shower gave him a chance to think. On what he had been doing for the past few weeks, his relationship with Cas, and all the shit he was putting himself through. All he wanted was for his family to be happy. Both halves of it. But it seemed all they would do was butt heads over him and he was beginning to wonder if coming back was such a good idea…but he could not live on the run with Lily. He could not put her through what he went through…
Not to mention running might just incite his sire to follow. But if he could not find his own childe for the longest time maybe…
Shaking his head he ran fingers through his hair, washing the shampoo and blood out. He needed to clear his head. Cas needed him to have a clear head on his shoulders. Even if the vampires heart felt heavy, wanting his sire and boyfriend to both be happy with him.
Relaxing against the side of the shower he dragged his tongue over his bottom lip in thought before finishing up in the shower. It took not much longer before he was completely dried off and heading for the bedroom, towel wrapped around his waist.
The note on the bed along with the clothing was an honest surprise. He had thought no one was home by how quiet everyone was. Chance had expected to be rushed at as soon as he got back if anyone was home. Quickly reading it over he looked over to the room where he could now hear them, frowning a little at the words going through his mind.
Dean was dead? Sammy…
His brows furrowed together at that news before he quickly changed into the fresh clothes, leaving the note on the side table. He would worry about his arm later. For now he just wanted to see Cas, hold him tight. As tight as a man missing one arm could that was.
He quietly opened the door to the room they were in, watching for a moment before making a small noise trying to catch Cas’s attention. He did not want to wake the sleeping children. To be completely honest with himself he was extremely nervous about this, worried that Cas might be upset with him for being gone so long. Hell he was upset with himself, feeling like a shit father for leaving Lily for three weeks, but he had to.
He did not want the hunters to come for her like they did him…he could not subject her to that. She was completely innocent in this. After all he had her on a diet of human food and mainly donated blood. What was wrong with that if no one was dying? The one who drank from humans was him.
(Okay, signing off. Will do replies tomorrow. I should shower before bed.)
